Just to the right I copied what Logitech is
writing for the Pro 3000 Quick Cam (named l3k below)
If you take a closer look - means open the bottle - it is revealing the
following main components:
 | Philips SAA8116HL Digital camera signal processor |
 | Sony CXD1267AN CCD Vertical clock driver
(you may notice that the CX is missing on the chip but I found it
on the Sony site as CXD1267AN) |
 | Sony ICX098AK Color 640x480 CDD chip
4.5mm diag (type 1/4); pixel size 5.6µm x5.6µm |
 | A bright green SMD LED
(which causes some problems if not shielded for long exposure) |
 | Wide-angle Lens |
 | Switch and Microphone assembly |
 | The housing (silver ball) |
 | The USB connector and cable |
You may find the spec-sheets of the chips on the manufacturers web site
(Sony and Philips semiconductor branches).
Following is a picture of the opened cam.
Here is a hint to open the housing.

A closer look reveals the chips used in this cam.
